Fern Kessler

Fern Kessler, late of Weyburn, SK passed away on February 18, 2026 at the age of 81 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Karl & Audrey Kessler; sister, Verlene Linton; granddaughter, Amber Moore; great-grandson, Kohler Moore; father and mother-in-law, David and Emma Ward; brother-in-law, Les Tuscherer.

Fern is survived by her partner of 51 years, Bill Ward; daughter, Donna Nyhus (Jay) and children: Jason (Rebekah) Moore, Kirk Moore (Jazmen), Kyla Moore, Chelsey Ehrhardt, Kaiden Nyhus, Daija Nyhus; daughter, Lorraine Nyhus and children, Ashley Nyhus, Brandon Nyhus (Marie), Chad West; and her son, Glen Nyhus.  Fern is also survived by her siblings: Joanne (Lloyd) Pitcher, Bob (Lorraine) Kessler, Richard (Sherry) Kessler, brother-in-law, Dwight Linton, Charlie (Jackie) Kessler, Cheryl (Darrell) Rowland; her sister-in-law, Leslie Ward; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from Upper McKenna Hall, 317 ~ 3rd Street, Weyburn, SK with Pastor Jody Pfeifer.  Urn Bearers are:  Kyla Moore, Ayden Moore, Jason Moore, Kirk Moore, Brandon Nyhus, Chad West, Chelsey Ehrhardt and Ashley Nyhus.  Honorary Urn Bearers are Fern’s great-grandchildren. Luncheon will follow at the McKenna Hall as well.  Interment will be held in the Spring of 2026 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK.
